Kurzfassung :Cucubalus baccifer is to be classified in Gerrnany as a recent species of big river valleys ('Stromtalpflanze'), the occurrence of which accumulates along the middle course of the rive Elbe. Its habitats are described, the species combinations are documented by plant sociological releves. The compilation of the till now published literature shows that Cucubalus baccifer has to be classified as character species of the Fallopio-Cucubaletum bacciferi Pass. (1965)1976. Due to floristic reasons we propose to integrate this association to the alliance Senecionion fluviatilis (= Convoivulion sepium).
