Kurzfassung :Although Geranium pyrenaicum is one of the most common aliens in Germany, its establishing was only scarcely investigated. Occurrences in definite ruderale plant communities are more seldom. Most of the populations established themselves at slightly disturbed borders of meadows (Arrhenatheretalia) along corridors like roads and railway tracks. Geranium pyrenaicum is a week competitor and is only seldom dominant. Because depending on disturbances its stands are relatively heterogeneous. The danger to the indigenous flora is estimated as relatively low. At least other invasive Geranium species are mentioned.
